About me
Hi!
My name is Darius Javadian, but my friends nicknamed me Jav – hence the very inventive blog name. I’m based in Warwickshire, England, and I’ve worked in IT for nearly 14 years. I started my career as an Apprentice at Coventry Building Society, where I stayed for just over 10 years across 7 different roles. I now work at Nationwide Building Society as an EUS Architect, where I’ve been for almost 4 years.
Throughout my career, I’ve heavily focused on End User Computing/Services (EUC/EUS) based solutions. I’ve been involved in the recent(ish) major OS upgrade programmes including Windows XP → 7, 7 → 10, and 10 → 11, as well as the wider shift to cloud and SaaS-based management we’ve seen over the past decade.
I’ve implemented SCCM from scratch multiple times, taken environments into the cloud with Co-Management, and Hybrid Join and more recently Intune, and Entra-only setups.
I’ve also worked extensively with other areas of Microsoft Entra, including Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Entra Connect Sync. Device management has been a big part of my journey too — from migrating users off BlackBerry Curves on BES5 back in the day, to managing fleets of thousands of Apple iOS devices (I’m still not an Android fan!).
These days, I’m particularly focussed on Intune, Windows 11, and Windows 365.
Join me on this blog for ramblings, hints & tips, explainers, and the occasional quirky thing I come across that might be useful to others.
If you’d like to say hello or if one of my posts was particularly useful, you can reach out on LinkedIn.
Cheers, Jav!
